This informal meetup is focused on building connection, advancing free flight education, and experiencing all the Eastside has to offer.

Join us in what we hope will be the first of many Eastern Sierra fly-ins to experience the Eastside in all its glory.

Insurance

Insurance Considerations from Cloudbase Mayhem →

Most intense medical care requires a Lifeflight to a trauma center - consider signing up for AirMedCare or similar network to hedge cost/risk (no affiliation).

Weather

Weather Stations →

Real-time weather data from Sierragliding.us - thanks Barry!

Oxygen

Launch altitude ranges from 5-8k+ feet, and climbs may take you well above 12k. For those interested in Oxygen refills, we will be coordinating fills at an additional charge.

Getting Here

Fly United directly to BIH

The Eastern Sierra Regional Airport is centrally located for quick access to all sites.

Recommended Lodging

Given our breadth of potential sites and unknown weather, we recommend staying in Bishop or Mammoth (be prepared for ~40 min drive each day regardless of where you're staying given the range of sites).

Note that there is unlimited FREE camping on BLM land, providing many stunning options.

Site Access & Safety
